FAQ’s

How do I know if my home needs insulation?

The following are good indicators if your home would benefit:

  • Your heating and cooling system work extra hard to maintain desired indoor temperature.
  • Your home heats up quickly after the air conditioner cycles off and vice versa.
  • You have comfort problems such as being too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter.
How do I know if my attic needs ventilation?

If your attic gets moisture buildup or ice damming occurs during the winter months, ventilation needs added.

If your attic temperatures range from 130-150 degrees F during the summer months, radiant heat will pass right through your ceiling and cooling your home will be a loosing battle. Installing Mechanical Ventilation (Solar Attic Fan) is the most cost effective way to lower attic temperatures and maximize the performance of your attic insulation to stop heat coming into the home.
